Ben Abell (Club Coach) is kindly giving a talk for club members and all on paragliding in the Lakes.

After a general introduction to the flying area, Ben will let us fly alongside him on a cross-country flight from the Old Man of Coniston (COM)

“My aim is to provide some ideas for anyone who would like to start flying in the Lake District, and also to discuss some points about XC flying in general.

As you’ll see, my flight was marginal in places and I’m hoping for some discussion and learning, myself included.

Exploring the UK flying sites might be particularly relevant this year if we are restricted to the UK for a while.”
