Getting in touch
There are a number of ways you can communicate with the DSC, pick from the following depending on your needs.
Telegram
The most up to date information about local conditions, planning future flights or chatting about your latest XC there are a set of groups on the chatting app Telegram. To access the Telegram groups please first install the app and then start a conversation with our bot who will be able to check your membership is up to date and add you to the groups you are interested in. Please note that the mobile number you use to access Telegram with needs to match the one on your WebCollect record for the bot to be able to know who you are.
Start a chat with the Telegram bot
There is a very active public Facebook group. This isn’t managed by the DSC but contains a wealth of local knowledge and is a great place to introduce yourself or just ask questions.
Forum
Often the juicy bits of information you are after quickly get lost on modern chatting platforms such as Telegram or Facebook. The members Forum is the place to go if you want to be able to look over past posts or just raise a topic of your own. When registering on the forum please use the same email address as used on your WebCollect record or you will only be able to see the public forum. It can take up to 24 hours from registering your forum account before the system will grant your account the relevant permissions.
Sometimes it’s just simpler to use email. You can find an email address link under each of the committee member photos on the committee page, simply find the committee member that is best suited to your enquiry.
