*POSPONED* Totley Weekend – Flying, Safety Workshops, BBQ and more!
*POSPONED TO A LATER DATE*
Sadly, due to the inclement weather forecast we only had a small interest in the proposed events, we have taken the decision to pospone the DSC Weekend Away to another date later in the season.
We hope that more of you will be available later in the season, and we will continue to prepare talks and festivities- watch this space!
We are holding a DSC weekend away!
We hope that you, from the newest members to seasoned pilots, will come along, meet some new and some old faces, find new retrieve drivers and make sure you have a familiar face or indeed a contact to speak to when considering flying in the Peaks!
The weekend will host talks on safety – a key topic that all of us can benefit from regardless of the number of hours we have been flying.
We will be holding the weekend away at Totley Rifle Range from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th June, with accommodation, space for ground handling and excellent food! Please note accommodation and food must be ordered before turning up (see below).
What can I expect from the weekend?
From 6.30pm Totley Range Bar – drinks, nibbles, flying related quizzes! All proceeds from sales of beer, wine and soft drinks will go to Mountain Rescue.
From am to 7pm: Should the weather permit, flying on one of our sites during the day. The DSC is hosting a round of the BCC (British Club Challenge, http://www.flybcc.co.uk/) which will run on either Bradwell or Lord’s Seat. Fancy being involved?
