Your Club Needs You – Airspace Officer
As some of you may know our Airspace Officer Dave Luff, after several years of dedicated service, is stepping down at the end of this term and we need someone to take up the mantle. Staying abreast of changes, and proposed changes, to Local and National airspace is an essential role in the club, particularly if those changes threaten our flying sites and xc routes.
- To promote awareness of airspace issues within the club.
- To manage arrangements with Doncaster ATC.
- To provide briefings and maintain the records for the RHADS corridors
- To represent the club in consultation and negotiation.
- To liaise with the webmaster to ensure smooth running of the corridor notificaion system.
Please get in touch using committee@derbyshiresoaringclub.org.uk or by contacting any committee member if you would like to volunteer, or if you would like to nominate someone who you think would be good for the role.
