An incident occurred today on Bradwell involving an Hangie flown by Patrick Reilly, details are sketchy at the moment but he appears to have impacted a wall coming to rest on the track as it heads down to Brough. I stopped off to offer our best wishes on my way past Northern General and his wife kindly gave permission for me to see him, he has suffered facial and upper body injuries including a broken arm and ribs but looks like he will make a good recovery, even raising a little smile, thanks to all those involved in assisting him, and I am sure I speak for the club in wishing him a speedy recovery.

Haven't heard from Paddy or Davina in the last week or so, but heard quite a bit from Judy and particularly Dave Chambers, who's been to see him. It sounds like Paddy's had a bit of an up and down recovery so far, but is now doing well enough for them to talk of transferring him to a hospital nearer home (Liverpool) today.
It certainly sounds like we're lucky to still have him with us. He was severely concussed, can't remember any of his flight, has had trouble breathing unaided and was in Intensive Care only a week ago. He had broken a lot of bones (numerous ribs, his shoulder and suffered a lot of damage to his jaw and facial bones) so it'll obviously be quite a long plod back to health.
Anyway, the good news is he's no longer in IC, he's on the mend and I'm sure we'll hear more from him when he's fit enough to talk on here. Meanwhile I'm sure everyone will be interested to hear how he's progressing, and also wish him an incredibly speedy recovery!
