I was just reading a  news article that the world famous paragliding site in Governador Valderes is now closed indefinitely because of an airspace violation.  The paraglider pilot infringed airspace and was nearly a collision with a commercial aircraft carrying 70 people. The pilot was said to have been forced to take a risky manoeuvre  and still missed by just 200 metres.  The Free Flight Association is working to get  free flight allowed  in the area again  but  may have to make some concessions to get it.  One pilot can do a lot of damage.

Just a reminder to all that there can be  more at stake than XC league points if we don't make sure we understand and abide by airspace restrictions

Just goes to show how important navigation and understanding air law is.

Do you have a link to the article you could post?
