It is with great sadness that I have just heard that Rod Buck has passed away.
I forget how many years I have known Rod,probably 30 or more. He was one of the pioneers of hang gliding especially in the Peak District and with the Derbyshire Soaring Club He also worked hard at mutual cooperation between the fixed and flex wing soaring communities.
He fought hard with others for the privileges the flex wing community now enjoy. A true giant in more ways than one. I was proud to call him a friend. RIP Mate
