Before I got 'Hooker on flying' Steve 😉
First trip out there this year, took a long time, but now I've tasted it - it certainly won't be my last visit 😀
Still working on my video clips.
Actually finally got finished with looking through all the video captured over the single week I was there this year.
Just over Four hours - cut down to under Twenty One minutes.
Sorry it's still so long, but there was so much I felt was worth keeping in there before deleting all the boring stuff 😉 (there was even more stuff I thought I'd captured, but was either too far away to see properly on the image, or failed by the camera (mostly operator error obviously!)).
Haven't added any music to this one as it would take too long to get that amount of interesting stuff together to put behind the moving pictures so it's just in the 'raw' format with only wind rushing past the microphone (particularly poignant during the spiral dives!).
I really did have an absolute ball out there - met some great people, caught up with some great people I already knew, and will most certainly be returning next year to meet up with as many as possible again.
Take a look (but be prepared for the long-haul?). If you've been out there then it'll be nothing new, but if you've never been before then I'd defy anybody to watch the whole thing and then decide it's not for them?
I had no intention of doing any 'funny sh!t' while there, but only into my second flight I figured I was high enough over the sea to 'gently' try out the stall point on my glider. Kinda went a bit silly for a couple of days before I settled back into the floating around enjoying the views, but then caught up with Steve who had me doing a 'B' line stall (didn't need much convincing!) to add to my repertoire.
This was my first 'non-supervised' trip where I just took the wing along with no planning / organisation whatsoever. Very apprehensive at first, but there is so much support - we're all out there to enjoy ourselves! - all the nerves quickly disappear and the adrenaline junky part soon takes over?
Roll on 2017 😀
Cheers,
Richard.
PS. Please let me know if I've been wasting my time - or if you want any more info, I'd be happy to give any help I can 🙂
