In this latest podcast I examine how we make decisions, what influences our decision making process and look at ways we can make better decisions. Drawing on research from economics, psychology and neuroscience, I examine how the brain works and apply good general advice to a flying context and give you some tools to try to help you make good decisions when it comes to being on launch and deciding whether to take off or not. The podcast covers topics like how to find people you can trust, examining your current emotional state, brain responses to experts and sky gods and tips for making good decisions when you are standing on take-off. Essential listening for new (and old!) pilots.

If you find the podcast useful, please share it with your fellow pilots. Also, if you have ever listened to one of our podcasts, watched a web cast (Rhads or RASP, etc.) or read one of our articles, please consider helping us out with a donation. For the past eight years we have been producing useful materials for pilots on a whole variety of topics - weather, xc flying, comps, airspace, psychology and many more. We now find that our hosting costs are getting out of hand and we have so many ideas for great new podcast topics, webcasts and articles. We would love to do them all but the day job is getting in the way. If you want more stuff from us, please give us a few quid by clicking the donate button here: https://www.theparaglider.com/

Many thanks!
Judith
