Hi there everyone
I'm new to the forum and would appreciate any information form pilots of SSDR flexwings designed particularly to be able to soar/glide. Currently I fly a 3-axis microlight but have previous flexwing microlight and limited paragliding experience. I'm considering going 'back to basics' flying as I find there is little enjoyment/challenge in the flight to & from my destinations. I live about an hour east of the Peaks, so a SSDR gives me the opportunity to fly to and from as well as soar.
Is there anyone who flies SSDR microlights; I'm considering the FlyLight DragonCombat. If so what sort of activities can be flown in the Peaks? I've been in brief contact with Ash, who tells me that he is not sure if an SSDR would fit in with hang and paragliders on the many soaring sites in the Peaks.
I'm currently a member of the BMAA & LAA, but not as yet the BHPA as I'm not yet sure whether SSDR flexwing will fit comfortably within it.
Look forward to any comments.
David,
Glad to see you managed to post; Ash had been in contact with me (as the webmaster) saying you were having difficulty.
In regard to the SSDR i'm not very knowledgable of how that would fit into our club environment, but I think the BHPA does provide some sort of provision for them.
you could try contacting our secretary or chairman for more info via the email addresses listed on the committee page of the website.
Cheers!
