Thanks for introducing yourself, and well done on getting your CP! I'm from the other side of the Peaks so don't really know the west side for best ground handling sites. There are definitely a number of pilots who live over there and who would know if there are any. Hope there's a flyable fay before you go away, and you can get out to the hills, start putting faces to names... and even have a fly!

You could try messaging Owen Thompson who lives over your way. He is in Australia at the moment but should know some local spots. I live on the south side of Derby and have used one of the local council grounds areas to be the best place, maybe there is a park near you? Obviously stay away from the public, kids, dogs, etc. Good luck and hope to see you on the hill,

I am new here too and funnily enough I did the same EP/CP course with FlySpain a couple of years ago and I am also based near Stockport in RAF Woodvale looking to get flying again. (Just been loaned the kit by the RAF paragliding association who recommended DSC).

Any chance I can jump on this aswell? 😀
