I'm new to hang gliding and Derby, having started my EP course earlier this year, and moved to Derby in the last month. Nearly finished CP though, just got the soaring and flying with others tasks left now - shame my school (Green Dragons) is now 3 hours away! Can't be helped.
Hope to qualify in the next few months, and look forward to meeting you on the hill!
I fly a Calypso. And by "fly", I mean "bend the uprights regularly". It's all a learning curve, eh? 😛

Welcome to the DSC. Its a big club so there are plenty of HG folk to give you a guiding hand.
Look out for Rick Hedley who is a Senior Coach with bags of HG experience, and Steve Hudson, who runs a school, if you need help with finishing your CP. (PM him here = HUDSON)
This is a new website, so not as active yet as the old one, its a work in progress.

The main problem with my CP is the distance! I've really enjoyed learning with Andy Shaw, it's the 6hr round trip that makes things a bit harder for me! God knows I used to complain enough about the 1hr round the M25 when I was still at Uni!
Thanks for the recommendations though. And if I'm not picking up my motorbike on Saturday, I might well drop in to the barbie and say hi! 🙂
