Hi Mike,

Well you have lots of choice from your location depending on wind direction as you are fairly central to Derbyshire, Pennine and Dales clubs. Not sure if you have looked at the site guides for these clubs but all give an indication of what they are like. Also look at Paragliding Map for locations and indication of conditions. I live in Aston on Trent and mainly fly DSC sites. If you are heading out to a site for the first time try and contact the relevant club to seek a site briefing by a coach if possible. Not sure if you have joined any clubs yet, some clubs/sites require you to join or have a temporary membership, others allow visiting pilots to fly or pay a day fee, all require BHPA membership to cover third party liability.
