Hi All

Sorry for accidentally posting for advice on the Introductions page. Hopefully I won't be barred!

Anyway, just to introduce myself as a new member and a fairly new pilot (under 20hrs post CP). I've met a few of you before and have flown under the excellent coaching of Ash Ghinn a few times.

I'm keen to get into XC and will be learning my trade in Nepal for 3 weeks from next Thursday, I'd also like to do hike/fly and possible overnighters or longer hiking, flying and bivvying.

So, hope to catch up with you over the coming months and learning more about the sport. I'll mainly be a weekend pilot given my location (Leicester) and a full time job.

Andrew

Hi Andrew, nice to hear your post there and hope you're having a great time in Nepal (no doubt) I'm also a new CP under 10hrs and looking in going forward in the same direction you've mentioned, so I'll looking to meeting you some time this summer and if you want to do a hike fly together at some point I'm always interested.

Hi,Im a new pilot to the sport.
Im Adam from Sheffield. I finished my cp at airways on the tow and am now trying to complete the hill conversion but with the weather its taking a long time. One day flying in four months and im available everyday but its going the right way now summer approaches. I do find forward lauches in nil to low wind hard as i had back surgery twice a number of years ago and have very little drive from the hips if ya get me. So all the help and advice is greatly recieved. Many thanks to everyone for been so friendly in the sport, and a big thanks to Judy for having to put up with me for a bit haha

Hi Adam!
Getting your hill conversion is a bit frustrating at the best of times, so this unusually long spell of unflyable weather must be driving you mad! Good luck with your training and look forward to seeing you in the air in the next few weeks!  If it's any encouragement, it usually gets a lot easier to plan your flying once you're signed off and don't need your instructor with you. You can also often get a fly in the evenings as the nights get longer. The club has plenty of good coaches to help you progress once you have your rating. Please feel free to contact me  and I'l direct you to some of them.

Ash
