A Joint meeting of DSC and DLGC A Joint meeting of DSC and D&LGC: Saturday 5th March at Camphill @ 18:00 hrs Thanks to everyone who's been in touch confirming they'll be attending the joint event on Saturday. Looks like we have a full house and food availability is now closed. Its great that so many want to come along and if you’ve responded by webcollect, on Facebook, telegram or messenger then you’re on the list and we look forward to seeing you. There will be about 60 folk attending! This is the largest (numbers-wise) event at the club since last summer's Vintage Week and the largest "indoor" event we've had for well over two years - if not longer!! So, a "Polite Notice": whilst all COVID restrictions have now been lifted, please do a lateral flow test before you come; as for "masks or no masks" this will be a matter of personal choice. A DSC Talk by CFI Steve Hudson – Wednesday 12th February at 7pm Castleton Village Hall, How Lane, S33 8WJ The talk to take you places! Everyone is welcome and this free talk is aimed towards the pilot who has decided that it may be time to try flying abroad during the UK winter season and wants to know what to consider in terms of choice of location and also what to know in order to fly safe once there. Steve’s talk will cover amongst other topics: - Choice of international location based on time of year Pilot skill level prerequisites for launching, flying & landing conditions abroad, Exploring what you may want from your flying What to do when you get there and your dream conditions don’t Also the talk will cover the many other considerations that should be made with regards to flying conditions and the weather one may experience when flying abroad. The timing of this talk is designed to allow you the UK summer and plenty of time to think about and plan your international winter flying trip! This event is free and places are unlimited so come along. (The hall is less than 1 minute walk from the Cheshire Cheese in Castleton).
