From today's Lincs Airspace User Group (RAF Cranwell) a quick update on the Airspace Change Proposal (ACP-2019-18) for a cylinder over Waddington that will be similar to R313:
SKIP TO POINT 8 if easily bored 😁:

1. The requirements of RAFAT and Protector RPAS are combined in one ACP.
2. Cylinder is 5nm radius just like the MATZ, up to 9500 AMSL. There is airspace above but it's irrelevant to us.
3. If/when approved, it will be a Danger Area (like R313) activated by NOTAM.
4. RAFAT (Red Arrows) prefer R313 but it is unlikely it will exist after Scampton is sold in Apr 23 (my take, not official).
5. No permanent changes to airspace until late 2023.
6. BUT.... RAFAT will be using a Restricted Area - Temp (RA(T)) for some Testing and Evaluation of the planned new airspace at Waddington, starting: 28 Mar - 8 Apr 22. Check NOTAMs!
7. Possibility of temporary/permanent airspace over RAF Syerston (Newark) if existing R313 is denied from Apr 23.
8. FOR THIS flying season, you will likely have either R313 active, OR a similar RA(T) over Waddington. Check NOTAMS.
