Welcome to the Derbyshire Soaring Club

The DSC is one of the most successful Hang gliding and Paragliding clubs in the UK. We are located in the heart of the Peak District National Park and enjoy the privilege of flying in this uniquely beautiful region. The DSC aims to cater for everyone, beginners, intermediates or seasoned veterans, and holds various educational and social events throughout the year. The club also has a large team of experienced and knowledgeable coaches to help you get the best out of your flying. We have hills suitable for beginners and yet boast sites that offer some the best XC potential in the country. Due to agreements with farmers and landowners all our sites are strictly members only – so join us!

Full Membership

£35 annually or £30 if paid by standing order

Associate Membership

£27.50 annually or £22.50 if paid by standing order. (for full members of other clubs)

Temporary Membership

Available for visiting pilots - £5 for 10 days.

With close ties to local schools the DSC is a great place to get friendly advice about how to get started in the world of free flight.

Communication

Regular social meet ups, as well as winter lectures, reserve repacks and our summer BBQ all communicated via our mailing list, give plenty of opportunity to get to know fellow pilots.

Community

The experience of flying is best shared with friends, you can expect a warm welcome from other DSC members so get involved!
